25 MB Data Buffer with TCP/IP interface

Contec Bueno buffer is used in single and multisite installations where full call data security and centralized call data collection system over LAN/WAN is needed. The buffer, attached locally to the PBX, collects CDR data from RS232 port or IP port. Transfer of data from buffer to the Processing Center is done over LAN/WAN.

Advantages of BUENO buffer:

  • Fast data transmission - built in 10base-T network interface of with TCP/IP protocol, allows for fast and safe data transmission from buffer to processing computer

  • Versatility - collects CDR data from all types of telephone exchanges, both modern with IP port and traditional with RS232 port

  • Data Security - industrial design, non-volatile data memory, secured data access and passwords, transmission protocols and alarms guarantee safety of collection, storage, and data transmission

  • Alarm detection - buffer detects various threats to data collection process and automatically sends warnings to the security center as well as local administrator.

  • Ease of use - buffer can be preset before shipping. When connected to RS232 port it automatically adjusts its transmission parameters. Full remote setup possible through a custom configuration program or by standard TFTP client tool.

BUENO Buffer Technical Specification

Memory

  • Non-volatile Flash memory,

  • 25MB data capacity: - approx. 500 000 standard call records. Higher capacity (up to 100MB) available on request

  • Data stored in FIFO revolving buffer (new data replaces the oldest data)

LAN Interface

  • used as a data port to collect data from PBX and send to processing computer through LAN/WAN

  • Ethernet 10T standard port

  • Operates with fixed IP address or DHCP automatically assigned

  • Protocols: TCP/IP, FTPT, TFTP

Collecting CDR (Call Data Records) Data from PBXs

Via RS232 Port

  • Automatic or manual adjustment to PBX transmission sending parameters

  • 1200-57600 baud

  • Full RTS/CTS flow control

  • optional ability to implement individual protocols (on request)

via TCP/IP Port

  • acting as client or server

  • optional ability to implement individual PBX type protocols (on request)

Data transfer to the processing center

Port TCP/IP
  • Buffer works as a TFTP server

  • Two independent data pointer sets enable two independent users reading the buffer

  • Transmission of "new" data or the entire buffer data memory

Data Confidentiality

  • Data encoding during transmission

  • User rights and access codes

  • Access authorized through passwords and logging with NAS (Radius) protocol

  • Access to buffer only by specified network users

Data Safety

  • Transmission protocols

  • Small internal UPS to ensure safe data write into Flash memory during power failure

  • Event logs

Alarms

Alarm situations detected:

  • Connection with the PBX lost

  • No new CDR data in specified time

  • Data errors at entry port

  • Memory full warning threshold reached

  • Alarm string in CDR data detected

  • External alarm received (2x input +5VDC)

Reaction to alarm:

  • Alarm message (IP package, e-mail, SMS)

  • Closing contacts of internal relay (single low voltage NO relay output)

  • SNMP message

  • SysLog message

  • Internal buzzer

Remote Maintenance

  • Remote access from any computer in the network

  • Alarm configuration

  • Authorization configuration

  • Reading of logs

  • Service reading of the entire memory - data dump

  • Redefining buffer parameters

Power Supply

  • 220VAC/12 VDC external converter (preferably form external UPS)

  • from PBX's battery with optional built-in coverter 36..72 VDC/12DC with galvanic separation

Dimensions

  • 170 x 190 x 44 mm

  • Weight 0.5 kg

With the buffer we provide BuConf program used to configure and service the buffer, it may also be used for data transmission from single location.
